Aged 18 years and 95 days, Kairat’s Sherkhan Kalmurza became the second-youngest goalkeeper to save a penalty in Champions League history (excl. shootouts), after Mile Svilar for Benfica v Man Utd in October 2017 (18y 65d).

Club Brugge’s Simone Signoret (37y 196d) became the sixth-oldest goalkeeper to save a penalty in the Champions League (excl. shootouts), and the oldest since Rangers’ Allan McGregor in September 2022 (40y 226d vs Napoli).

Tonight, Galatasaray’s Leroy Sané became the first player in Champions League history to play for four clubs and score or assist on his debut for each of them.
