Our approach to copyright

avgsports.com publishes football news, commentary, and player-development content. Where we use images, quotations, or other third-party material, we do so for the purposes of news reporting and commentary, and we aim to credit sources appropriately. Team names, logos, player images, and related material remain the property of their respective owners.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act on behalf of one, and you believe that material on avgsports.com infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to us at info@avgsports.com. To help us process your request quickly, please include the following information:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • The exact URL(s) on avgsports.com where the material appears.
  • Your contact details, including your name and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
  • Your electronic or physical signature.

Our response

Once we receive a valid notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material in question within a reasonable time. We may also contact the person who posted the material, if applicable. We reserve the right to request additional information before taking action.

Counter-notice

If you believe that material you posted was removed in error, or that you have the right to use it, you may send us a counter-notice at info@avgsports.com. Please include a description of the material, its location before removal, your contact details, and a statement, made in good faith, that the material was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification.

Repeat infringers

We may, in appropriate circumstances, restrict or remove content and limit access for users who are found to repeatedly infringe the copyright of others.
