In their maiden campaign in Tanzania, Uganda registered one win, one draw, and one loss, finishing third in their group behind Nigeria and Angola.
Uganda has since strengthened its youth system, and this tournament presents an opportunity to showcase their progress on the continental stage.
Can Egyptian this time make another history this year edition of Total Energy CAF u17 AFCON as they did in 1997 when they won it in a slender 1-0 win over Mali.
