Co-host Canada’s World Cup 2026 dream ended as they lost 3-0 against Morocco to exit the competition in the round of 16 after two goals scored by Azzedine Ounahi.

However, Morocco is the first African nation ever to reach the quarter-finals of two World Cup tournaments in 2022 and 2026.
