Today marked the start of the 54th season of Nigeria’s league.
While the current champions, Remo Stars, played to a 1-1 draw against Rivers and others, the league will start on Sunday at 16:00 GMT. The league management board announced that the 2025/26 season will commence on August 22, 2025, and conclude on May 24, 2026. This is to maintain the calendar we established last season.
