Here we are coming again struggling to qualify for the world. Maybe coaches should go back to how we started qualifying for the world in the 90s by giving home base players opportunities to play in teams,
mostly on defense and midfield  Remember on 9 January 2013, Kenneth Omeruo, at the age of 19, played for the senior team for the first time in a goalless draw against Cape Verde to stabilize the defensive line and  good play maker . although I am very optimistic about Nigeria qualifying for the world 2026.

Qualifications for World Cup 2026 in African Analysis and Table Details

Qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup began on Oct. 12, 2023,where most confederations now have qualifying, such as Japan becoming the very first country to qualify on March 20, followed by New Zealand and Iran. Just five days later Argentina joined the race by beating Brazil 4-1.

But in Africa, the struggle still continues on country who will join 45 nations that will join hosts United States, Mexico and Canada in kicks off on June 11 and the final will take place on July 19. Remember in the African continent out of 54 FIFA-affiliated nations in the draw.

9 qualify automatically plus 1 enters playoff.

However, Eritrea subsequently withdrew their reason from the FIFA statement, and the Confederation of African Football (Caf) on Friday said that “all of Eritrea’s matches have been canceled”, a few days before they were due to travel to face Morocco in their first fixture, but provided no explanation.

But people generally thought Eritrea’s football federation withdrew its men’s team from 2026 World Cup qualifying owing to fears that players would attempt to seek political asylum during trips abroad, according to sources close to the squad. Congo, in the same group, were suspended by FIFA on Feb. 6 due to government interference, though they had lost all three group games at the time.

African have it all in world football

Africans have it all in world football.
I know when I say Africans have it all, some people will criticize the statement, but this is a reality from the view of performance and gifts embedded in African players. Even with a substandard pitch, lack of equipment and poverty level, we still have many great African players.
If you said no, check the whole list, so call a first-class country that has not seen an African player and check that record.

The fastest hat-trick in the history of the English Premier League
Scored by African player Sadio Mané for net three within two minutes and 56 seconds for Southampton against Aston Villa

Samuel Eto’o – 162 goals in Laliga. He won the Golden Boot in 2005-06 and had a 30-goal haul in 2008-09.

Victor Osimhen is the first African player to win the Serie A golden boot with 26goals in 32matches.

The best goal so far in the Bundesliga was the Jay-Jay Okocha goal against Oliver Kahn in 1993.

(Tony Yeboah won the Bundesliga golden boot back-to-back at Frankfurt, 1992-94.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won both the Bundesliga and English Premier League golden boot, and recently we still have the below contribution in some major leagues.

Mo Salah is the leading goalscorer in the English Premier League.

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) week 30 matches results with table stand.

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Week 30 matches were played yesterday. Abia Warriors proved to be determined by beating Heartland at home 1-0 and sitting one point ahead of Shooting Stars (3sc) in the table. Abia Warriors won yesterday with a 2-0 Akwa United win over Kwara United, making the NPFL produce two away victories this week.

The Pride of Rivers are now five points behind Remo Stars with their 1-0 win over Ikorodu City to save 52point from 30 points, although the match between Lobi Stars and Remo Stars was postponed.

3SC smashed Niger Tornadoes 3-1 to gain 4th position with 46point.

The crowd was too much at Oriental Derby to watch moments of good soccer, but Abia Warriors sent Heartland back into the relegation zone courtesy of a 1-0 away win. Ojonugwa Adejoh’s free-kick on 81 minutes gave Abia Warriors the full points at Heartland.

Sunshine could not shine. Benin City lost 0-1 to Bendel insurance.
Enyimba int’s at home played a 1-1 draw with Bayelsa United.
Katsina United at home cashed out 3-0 against El-kanemi Warriors.
The match between Pleteau United and Kano Pillars ended 2-1 in favor of Plateau United.

As Enugu Rangers coach Fidelis Ilechukwu was absent from their match as a result of their National assignment, Enugu Rangers lost away to Nasarawa United 0-1.

My question is this: can shooting stars qualify for any
Position 1–2 : CAF Champions League
Position 3 : CAF Confederation Cup.
Because the last time shooting stars qualified for the continent was 1999 in the café Champions League, which is over 25 years old now.

Can Alia Boys Relegate this season as they find themselves at no 20 on the table?

    Short history of the team
Lobi Stars was founded as Hawks of Makurdi in 1981 by the Benue State Sports Council. The club was renamed Benue Breweries Limited (BBL) Hawks Football Club when the state-owned Breweries acquired the club in 1985.

  • IQ Development

    IQ Development

    Athlete IQ
This regarding athletic intelligence related to the sport.
Often, an athlete’s IQ is of particular concern depending on their position or role in sports.
Athlete intelligence has also been assessed in scouting and pre-draft procedures.

Let me use football as a case study.
    What is football intelligence?
A player’s ability to read the game, make smart decisions quickly, and adapt their play in response to evolving situations.
    or
It is an ability to rapidly process information, apply rules and strategies, and make sound, independent on-field decisions.
Shows that the player is intelligent by having the below traits?
Know where “teammates” are before receiving the ball. Know where “opponents” are before receiving the ball. Know where the “space” is to play into before receiving the ball. Decide what to do with the ball before the ball arrives (one touch pass, two touches, when to dribble or run with the ball)etc.

The world’s smartest and most creative football players read the game and play ahead of their opponents.

To improve your playing intelligence is by Improving Spatial Awareness.

    Always keep your head up
Scan the field before receiving the ball
Develop your technical ability, first touch and ball control
Watch more soccer and take notes on players with excellent spatial awareness skills
Play 1 vs. 1 and 2 vs. 2 while observing the body movements of the defensive players.
Limit playing space to force quicker play in tight areas
Play and pass with limited touches (1 or 2 touches)
Always practice by setting up game-like scenarios and working on your total field peripheral vision, imagination and special intelligence.
Another critical aspect of player intelligence is the player’s movement with ball or off the ball and the concept of space playing, which shows the difference between amateur and professional players.
As a coach or player, I suggest watching different professional videos to understand this concept.

Zimbabwe may shown resilience to Nigeria because of the 1-1 draw in their last previous meeting and for them to secured first win in World Cup qualifier.
